Acer delays Android Tablet; Awaits Android Honeycomb OS

Posted on 01 December 2010 by Android

As per Acer head Gianfranco Lanci, Acer has decided to delay their Android tablet for the Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

Apparently the move was to ensure that they would be releasing a tablet which would deliver a better tablet experience once the new Android OS becomes available.

The Android Gingerbread is the current Android OS in the market but it seems that Acer is not convinced as far as its reliability is concerned.

Acer has launched a barrage of devices just recently which included smartphones running on Windows Phone 7 and the Android OS.

The company is also looking at MeeGo for the second half of 2011 and a Chrome OS netbook when available. In terms of 3D technologies, Acer is looking to take the 3D experience to the phone and tablet as well.
