Back in Feb, the Alcatel’s booth at MWC 2011 was full of cheaply priced featurephones and smartphones, most of them being of the OneTouch brand and showed no sign as wanting to enter the tablet market. But it does.
Behold the Alcatel OneTouch T60, an android tablet that was approved by the FCC earlier today. The T60 currently runs Android 2.2 Froyo, and features a 7inch display, 3G connectivity (850 / 1900 MHz), WiFi, GPS, Google Maps, 3.5mm headset jack, 3MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, and MicroSD card support.
Since Alcatel phones are usually affordable, the OneTouch T60 tablet cost should be on the low side. Unfortunately, there’s no word on when or where the tablet will be released.
