From rumors, it would seem Cisco may be developing its own android base tablet device in a near future. During a recent episode of Buzz Out Loud, a listener’s e-mail response around 37 minutes into the podcast claimed that Cisco is working on a Android-based tablet that would most likely be used for business communication. It would probably have features such as a front facing camera, dual microphones with noise cancellation and support for Cisco-oriented software.
The tip did not have any details on when we can expect this new android tablet to come out, what price it would carry or any other release info. However, from details we did have, Cisco could keep the costs relatively low since it wouldn’t need a significant amount of internal storage, advanced media hardware or any other extras as the main goal here would be a business tool.
Cisco hasn’t commented on the accuracy of the rumor.
