The Creative Ziio 7 may not be the most desirable Android tablet in the market, but it’s certainly the most affordable from a major corporation. Though it does not have a resistive display, the audio quality from the Creative X-Fi enhancement technology makes it one of the better sounding tablets in the market.
From March 25, Ziio 7 users who are running Android 2.1 can download the Android 2.2 update from Creative’s support Web site. New features include the ability to save applications to the external storage card, improved login security, text-to-speech engine, better localized language support and the ability to view Web pages in desktop format. Granted this seems a little lackluster considering Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) slates are expected anytime soon, it’s good to know that Creative is still investing resources in updating its tablet lineup.
