HP’s Android tablet to come bundled with Zeus printer

Posted on 11 September 2010 by Android

Remember the Zeen Android tablet that HP said it will come up with. Well it’s here! But that’s just a part of the story; as per the latest tablet PC news, the tablet will not be what everyone would like it to be. Instead, and much to the disappointment of many, the tablet will be a part of the company’s upcoming PhotoSmart eStation C510 printer system.

The 7 inch tablet is named Zeen C150 and it won’t have access to the official Android marketplace. Though to make things up a bit, the Zeen C150 comes pre-loaded with several apps like Facebook, 60 Minutes, MSNBC, Dreamworks, and so on. Also included is a Barnes & Noble app and while Gmail is off bound, there is an indigenous email client along with access to a few Yahoo services such as Mail and Messenger. There are also reports of a much improved software and touchscreen performance. Cost of the tablet is expected to be $399 and is likely to be available sometime this month. Except not as a solo tablet but combined with the Zeus printer. Surely many wouldn’t like the printer to be part of the picture but then, HP has other ideas and that’s how things are as of now.
