The INKIA inPad 701 has got the iPad look down, even to the packaging. The obvious difference is that they proudly display an Android logo in place of the Apple. The less obvious differences include a 7-inch 16:9 touchscreen and a front-facing camera.
The INKIA inPad 701 offers more than a TFT 800 x 480 resolution screen which can support 720p HD, however. It’s powered by a Rockchip RK2808 CPU and Android (version not listed). Features include WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G (WCDMA and EVDO), mobile TV, USB, mini HDMI, microSD card (expandable to 16GB), speakers and mic. You have optional storage options (4GB-16GB), camera (2MP-5MP) and memory (128MB or 256MB). Finally the tablet uses a 2200mAh battery (rated for four hours of video playback), weighs 8.8 ounces and measures 7.5 x 4.7 x 0.54 inches.
All said it doesn’t look to bad. The main unknown right now is the price. With the crazy amount of cheap Android tablets announced recently, the INKIA inPad 701 will have to be quite the deal to break through the budget tablet noise.
