Lenovo’s long-awaited entrance into the Android tablet field in the United States could happen any day now. A tipster is reporting that Office Depot is going to ship-out the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 tablet today (July 13, 2011). Back in June some Office Depot stores started to show signs of having the K1 but none were available for purchase.
The IdeaPad k1 is anticipated to cost $499 for Android 3.x Honeycomb, a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 multi-touch screen, dual cameras, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 32GB of storage, and up to 10 hours of battery life. A leak last month showed that Lenovo intended to start offering the K1 either last month June or this month July.
Online at the moment Provantage.com has a listing for two versions of the IdeaPad K1, a Black model and a White model. The two models are listed on back-order but the main specifications and that $499 MSRP are shown. Other than Provantage only a couple of other retailers are listing up the tablet.
