Motorola’s Xoom 2 android tablet, is it the first to use Quad-Core?

Posted on 02 June 2011 by Android

Motorola is going to be making more tablets, no doubt about it, the question is what will the next tablet be called. Some people around the web believe it will follow up on the first one and be called the XOOM 2.

Pocketnow think they have come into a spy shot of the next Motorola android tablet. The mobile news website had displayed some screenshots of a new redesigned Motorola.com that isn’t launched yet. They have since then been removed by Motorola Mobility Inc..

Previous rumor mill talk hinted that Motorolas next android tablet would have a quad-core processing chip inside. The unreleased NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip could be the quad-core of choice, Motorola already uses the dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 in their Xoom tablet. NVIDIA is expected to launch the Tegra 3 later this year, they have already started showing demos of the chip’s power on an Android Honeycomb tablet.
