It would seem that the iPad might have some stiff competition ahead since after entering the smartphone market with its Android platform, Google really wants to pursue the Internet Tablet PC market.
In fact, from an article that appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Lowell McAdam, CEO for Verizon Wireless, confirms that they are working with Mountain View on an Android Tablet to compete with the iPad.
If Google did not want to react to that statement, the company states that any builder can use the system to integrate Android into new Tablet PC. Bloomberg reports that Marquette Smith, a spokesperson for Verizon, confirms that their Tablet PC will run the Android OS and not the Chrome OS.
