Google Sky Map is the app that turns your Android Tablet into a window on the night sky. View the stars, planets and distant galaxies and navigate to them just using your fingers by switching to manual mode, or press the zoom buttons at the bottom to pan in steadily.
Pressing any space on the screen opens the left sidebar, here you can select or deselect what you want shown on your map. You can opt to see stars with their names labelled next to them; and join lines between stars so you can see the patterns of famous constellations, far-away galaxies and neighboring planets like Jupiter and Mars. To make navigation easier you can view the celestial sphere in a grid of parallel lines for mapping, and direction indicators for North, East, South and West. By pressing the settings button you can search for a specific planet or star and navigate straight to it. You can turn on night mode, and choose to set your location manually or have Google Sky Map always use GPS to monitor where you are.
If you access the Gallery you’ll be able to view real amazing photographs taken by the Hubble Telescope. And if you press Time Travel you can alter the date and time and view sky maps from the past, for example the day you were born, or some time in the future, so you will know which stars will be out during tomorrow evening’s sunset.

Apparatus is a puzzle logic game that relies on your knowledge of physics to reach a number of challenging goals. The main mode of Apparatus is to get the marble into the cradle. To do this you have to use your ingenuity to build bridges and slides, creating a platform for the marble to travel down. The levels get much harder as you progress through the game, and you have to use your own innovation to create contraptions that will enable you to reach the goal. With a choice of hardware such as wooden planks, boxes, , rope, and even electric motors and moving teeter-totters, you have to connect these pieces together to build a rollercoaster track, sending your marble to the goal.. But if the mechanics are not exactly right, be prepared to watch your marble plummet off course. If you enter the Sandbox, the other modes allow you to build an entire level of your own from scratch. Sandbox Mode lets you use anything in the toolbox to build, and if you feel it is good enough, you can upload it to the Apparatus Community page. Here you can play with other people’s creations, so there is a literally never ending supply of levels to challenge you.
